Giorgio de Chirico (1888-1978) - Pre-Surrealist

Born in Volos Greece July 10, 1888 - passing away November 20, 1978 in Rome,  Giorgio de Chirico lived a colorful life.  He was an exceptional artist and outstanding poet.  His surname “De Chirico” will live on from the fact he was able to concentrate and condense feeling through metaphor and association in both his paintings and poetry.

De Chirico was a Pre-Surrealist - Greek/Italian best known for his still cityscapes and bright daylight of the Mediterranean cities evidenced by the examples below.  His paintings were best known from 1909 to 1919 during the metaphysical period.

Below are a few examples of “De Chirico’s” most admired artwork and poetry.

Nacido en Volos, Grecia 10 de julio 1888 - fallecimiento 20 de noviembre 1978 en Roma, Giorgio de Chirico vivió una vida de colores. Él era un artista excepcional y destacado poeta. 
Su apellido "De Chirico" vivirá en el hecho de que él era capaz de concentrarse y condensar sentimiento a través de la metáfora y la asociación, tanto en sus pinturas y poesía.

De Chirico fue un pre-surrealista - griego, italiano más conocido por sus paisajes urbanos y todavía la luz del día brillante de las ciudades del Mediterráneo demuestran los ejemplos anteriores. Sus pinturas fueron conocidos desde 1909 hasta 1919 durante el período metafísico.
